Round Annapurna Trek

This trekking trip is one of the most popular treks in the Annapurna region of Nepal. The trail goes on a circuitous route around the entire Annapurna massifs, visitng the Tibet like country on the northern slopes of the Himalaya and the dramatic Kali Gandaki gorge. Much of the trek is through lowland country, but there is one challenging ascent Thorong La Pass (5,416m). The trail over the pass is steep but in good shape and not hard to follow. This is the major point of the entire circuit where you really feel you are amidst the mountains. The pass is usually snow-bound and un-cross able from mid-December to mid-April. After crossing the Throng La Pass we descend down the Kali Gandaki gorge known to be the world's deepest river gorge and immerse ourselves in the beauty of the Himalayas.
