US teen youngest to climb seven summits

US teenager Jordan Romero has become the youngest person in the world to successfully climb to the summit of the seven tallest mountains in seven continents. Romero, 15, called his mother, Leigh Ann Drake, on Dec 24 to confirm that he had achieved his goal of reaching the top of Mt Vinson Massif in Antarctica.

US cancels travel warning for Nepal

United States of America has canceled travel warning that it had issued for US citizens preparing to visit Nepal. “In recognition of improved conditions in Nepal, the US Department of State has cancelled the travel warning that was most recently issued on January 12,” the US Embassy in Kathmandu said in a statement on Wednesday.
